Car Rental Policy

What is included

Comfy keeps car rental in Crete simple and transparent. The price shown during booking is based on your selected dates, pick-up and return location, car group and optional extras.

Insurance and protection

The rental price includes the standard protection package shown during the booking process. Insurance and waiver conditions may vary depending on the vehicle group and the final rental agreement.

• Collision Damage Waiver coverage is included according to the rental terms.
• Theft Protection is included under the conditions of the rental agreement.
• Public liability insurance is provided according to Greek and EU requirements.
• Additional protection may be available depending on the car group and booking conditions.

Fuel policy

The car should be returned with the same fuel level as when it was delivered, unless a different arrangement is confirmed in writing.

• The fuel level is checked at pick-up and return.
• Missing fuel may be charged after return.
• The renter is responsible for using the correct fuel type.
• Wrong fuel damage is not covered by standard insurance.

Pick-up and drop-off

Comfy offers convenient pick-up and return options in Crete, including Heraklion Airport and Chania Airport. Hotel, port or custom delivery may be available depending on the location and schedule.

• Please provide correct arrival details during booking.
• For airport delivery, flight number helps us track delays.
• For port delivery, ship name helps us arrange the meeting time.
• Some delivery or return locations may include an additional fee.
• Late-night delivery may depend on availability and may include an extra charge.

Driver requirements

The driver must present a valid driving licence, identification document or passport, and any other document requested when signing the rental agreement.

• The main driver must meet the minimum age requirement for the selected car group.
• A valid driving licence must be held for the required minimum period.
• Non-EU licences may require an International Driving Permit.
• Only drivers declared in the rental agreement are allowed to drive the car.

Extras and child seats

Optional extras are subject to availability and should be selected during the booking process.

• Baby seats, child seats and booster seats may be available on request.
• Please provide the child’s age so the correct seat type can be prepared.
• Extras are calculated according to the selected rental period.
• Special requests are not guaranteed until confirmed by the Comfy team.

Payment and booking request

Online bookings through Comfy are treated as booking requests until confirmed by the team. The final rental agreement is completed at vehicle pick-up.

• The booking form must include accurate contact details.
• Prices may depend on dates, car group, location, extras and availability.
• The selected model may be replaced by a similar or higher group if necessary.
• If the selected car is unavailable, Comfy may offer a similar alternative.

Important notes

Car failure

If a mechanical failure occurs that is not caused by driver error, Comfy will try to replace the vehicle with the same or a similar group, depending on availability.

Traffic fines

The renter is responsible for traffic fines, parking fines, tolls and violations during the rental period.

Vehicle condition

The car must be returned in reasonable condition. Excessive dirt, damage, lost equipment or missing documents may result in additional charges.
